Exactly one year ago today, your overwhelming contributions and support to our fundraising campaign on Kickstarter  made the Electric Umbrella joy of the past 12 months possible!

One year on, after a hugely successful tour, sold out club night in March, and ‘Umbrellafest’ our inaugural summer festival, we now have weekly sessions in Rickmansworth, Watford and Hemel Hempstead attended by over 50 guys each week. (Not forgetting our regular gigs and shows!)

Again, we have made the same commitment (with no funding!) for the next 12 months, to bring you an even bigger club night in spring, and an even bolder Umbrellafest next summer, with all the usual shenanigans and weekly sessions along the way.

Whilst we are currently operating without any funding, we are blessed with your donations and support to make all of this possible! Should any of you wish to match your donation from last year, and support us again, we would be extremely grateful, and guarantee we have A LOT more joy to share! (We have a brand new donation facility via Paypal that might tempt you!)

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all your support in every way – donations, in kind support, ferrying the guys to gigs at (a moments notice!), and all the love and likes on Facebook, we couldn’t do it without you!

We were delighted to recently recognise Paul Gershlick, Partner at VWV Law Firm in Watford, with our Corporate Ambassador Award . Paul first introduced Electric Umbrella to VWV and their wider network after inviting us to perform online at their 2020 PING conference. Since then, a real friendship was struck and Paul, along with his team at VWV Watford, have gone above and beyond to support Electric Umbrella. Whether it’s having us return to perform at future conferences, supporting us with in-office charity events and lunches, or attending our shows, Paul and the VWV Watford team have bought into the Electric Umbrella way. In addition to VWV Watford making Electric Umbrella their office charity of the year for two years running, Paul personally volunteers on a weekly basis at our Big Yellow Choir, where he was presented with his award by our CEO Mel and choir member Ali, earlier this month.
