An avid fan of Electric Umbrella, has come up with a unique and engaging way of raising money and the profile of Electric Umbrella!

Jane Gerhard has designed a pattern for striking black and yellow beanie hats featuring the iconic umbrella from our logo.

We are releasing the pattern to local knitters and knitting groups urging as many people as possible to get knitting and create as many hats as possible. The hats will then be sold during November and December to raise funds for Electric Umbrella.

It’s a particularly lovely way of raising money as an important part of our ethos is all about co-collaboration and togetherness, and this is yet another way of getting more people involved and engaged in what we do!

The hats will be a valuable addition to our members attire as we go on our busking tour of Christmas markets in December. All sixty members of Electric Umbrella will take part in the busking tour, hoping on and off the tour bus visiting Christmas markets singing songs they’ve written themselves and well known Christmas songs. This year we will be releasing our own Christmas single! The single will be officially launched with a live event at The Horns Pub in early December.

If you are a knitter, or know anyone that would like to get their hands on the pattern and help us by knitting hats, please email mel@electricumbrella.co.uk or call 07452 806517.

We were delighted to recently recognise Paul Gershlick, Partner at VWV Law Firm in Watford, with our Corporate Ambassador Award . Paul first introduced Electric Umbrella to VWV and their wider network after inviting us to perform online at their 2020 PING conference. Since then, a real friendship was struck and Paul, along with his team at VWV Watford, have gone above and beyond to support Electric Umbrella. Whether it’s having us return to perform at future conferences, supporting us with in-office charity events and lunches, or attending our shows, Paul and the VWV Watford team have bought into the Electric Umbrella way. In addition to VWV Watford making Electric Umbrella their office charity of the year for two years running, Paul personally volunteers on a weekly basis at our Big Yellow Choir, where he was presented with his award by our CEO Mel and choir member Ali, earlier this month.
